Guy Amisano – President & CEO

Guy Amisano is CEO/President. He held the position of CEO at a soft drink company from 1982 until the sale of the franchise in 2001. He founded Salient Corporation in 1986 to commercialize a highly successful project that enabled him to significantly improve his soft drink company’s sales efficiency and profitability. The solution allowed his managers to overcome the major barriers to making business activity coherent, transparent and controllable so that they could determine where to invest time, money and energy for the greatest possible return. The Salient solution is now used by 300 clients and 40,000 users in 53 countries. Guy holds a degree in English Literature from St. Bonaventure University and served in the US Army Special Forces in Vietnam.


 

Craigan Gray, MD, MBA, JD, CPE – Chief Medical Officer

As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Gray’s primary focus is on further improving Salient’s healthcare enterprise management solutions and advancing strategies of each healthcare solution. Dr. Gray brings a rich experience from private practice, hospital leadership, and governmental health-benefit programs. Prior to joining Salient, Dr. Gray was director of North Carolina’s $12 billion Medicaid program. His time as VPMA at Bon Secours Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Kentucky was distinguished by moving the facility into the top-quality performance tier for Health Grades and CMS health quality indicators. Dr. Gray is a Stanford University trained Obstetrician/Gynecologist. He also holds an MD degree, an MBA degree and a JD degree. He is a Certified Physician Executive and is published in various medical journals.


 

Jack Bloise, J.D. – SVP, Public Sector & Healthcare

Jack Bloise is the Senior Vice President for Salient’s Public Sector and Healthcare business divisions. He is responsible for making sure that Salient products and services meet the needs of our government and healthcare clients. Prior to joining Salient, he was a Regional Vice President for Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA, Inc.) with responsibility for both public sector and private accounts. Jack Bloise is a licensed attorney in New York State and a former Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps. He holds a J.D. from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphries School of Law and a B.A. from University of Massachusetts at Amherst.


 

Susan Lepler, M.P.A., M.S.W. – VP, Health & Human Services

Susan Lepler leads Salient’s engagements for our state government healthcare clients. Susan is responsible for understanding the business and information needs of our clients and ensuring that Salient software products and training enable improved performance. Susan has over 25 years of experience working with and for government to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of health and human services. She was a principal at the Center for Governmental Research, co-founder of Meridian Consulting Services, and held a variety of New York State government policy and budget positions. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Syracuse University – both with health care concentrations – and a B.A. from Cornell University.


 

Linda Huffner, M.P.S. – VP, Health & Human Services

Linda Huffner leads Salient’s engagements with our local government clients. As a former County Commissioner of Human Services, she brings extensive experience managing and operating Medicaid, social services, and other local human service programs. She uses her 30+ years of experience and deep knowledge of these programs to help county senior managers and leaders use Salient software applications to improve program performance. Linda earned her Masters of Professional Studies in Community Services Administration from Alfred University, and a B.A from Elmira College.


 

Pauline Clark – VP, Healthcare Solutions

As VP of Healthcare Solutions, Pauline Clark is responsible for developing and carrying out strategies for Salient’s analytics solutions in the healthcare markets throughout the country. She will also oversee planning and resources to ensure successful implementation of healthcare solutions. Prior to joining Salient, Clark most recently had her own consulting business advising health systems on pay-for-performance compliance and contracting under the new health reform environment. She has served as Chief Financial Officer of a 214-bed hospital providing various care and physician clinic services. She led the National Healthcare group for a Goldman Sachs company, and was also Senior Director in the Healthcare Group at Fitch Ratings, Inc. As an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Clark has structured financing or managed due diligence for billions of dollars in healthcare company and portfolio acquisitions.


 

Tom DeMay – VP Partners, Health & Human Services

Tom DeMay currently leads our efforts establishing new partnerships within Salient’s Public Sector and Healthcare business divisions. Prior to joining Salient, Tom has had over 25 years experience in management, sales, consulting, and development of software, hardware, and services with industry leaders. Most recently Tom has held senior and executive level positions in Sales Operations, Sales Management, and Business Development within successful entrepreneurial technology businesses.


 

Fahad Rahman, M.A., M.B.A. – Director of Business Development

Fahad Rahman currently leads our national healthcare business development efforts. Previous to Salient, he held the position of Global Client Director with the Everest Group, where he developed, managed, and grew relationships with blue-chip healthcare and insurance companies, such as UnitedHealth Group, GlaxoSmithKline, MunichRe, and Medco. He also served as Finance Practice Director with the Corporate Executive Board (CEB), a publicly-traded corporate research and consulting firm. At the CEB, he worked directly with CFOs and senior Finance executives at Fortune 500 companies and focused on tackling their key strategic challenges. Mr. Rahman holds an M.B.A. from Canisius College, an M.A. in Neurophysiology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a B.S. in Biology.


 

Lisa Dunn – Director of Data Analysis Services

Lisa Dunn leads the Data Analysis Services team, which provides support for complex data analyses for Salient Healthcare’s clients. The team also ensures data quality through data validation services. She possesses extensive knowledge of both the Medicaid program and healthcare data. Prior to joining Salient in 2008, Ms. Dunn gained over twenty years of experience in various Medicaid and social service roles for Monroe County (NY), with a focus on data analysis. She provided major staff support to the County’s multi-payer quality improvement initiative and was a member of the county’s Medicaid Fraud, Waste and Abuse Project Team.


 

John Amisano, M.P.H. – Director of Outcome Support

John Amisano is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for efficiently training, supporting and providing ongoing engagement to all licensed Public Sector clients. He has served as Associate Advisor and–most recently–Advisor, where he managed Salient Healthcare end users’ experience during and after training. He also serves as a lead trainer for the Salient Healthcare team. Amisano holds a Masters of Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy, Management and Administration from the State University of New York at Albany School of Public Health. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Biology.


 

Richard Nussbaum, M.P.A. – Senior Advisor

Richard Nussbaum helps Salient understand the intricacies of Medicaid and other public health insurance programs and tailor our products and services to meet the need of those clients. He brings over 30 years of experience working for the State of New York, in a variety of health care positions. Richard held a number of senior positions in the Medicaid program and was the Assistant Director of the Division of Financial Planning and Policy. He also brings experience as a health care consultant in the financial services field. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a health care concentration from New York University.
