Salient HHS provides its solution for fraud and waste management to the largest state Medicaid program in the U.S.—New York. The state-wide system contains approximately 4 billion records – the entire history of Medicaid claims for the last 6 years – which covers nearly 10 million persons and more than 60,000 providers. The software has also been embraced by the NYS Department of Health Offices of Health Insurance Planning, Mental Health and Persons With Developmental Disabilities, among others.

Timeline in Healthcare

• 2007 – Salient enters the Healthcare field, partnering with Chemung County in Upstate NY to eliminate waste, fraud and abuse.
• 2007-2009 – Salient expands to 12 county clients using the Medicaid solution, analyzing over $7 billion in claims.
• 2009 – Salient partners with the N.Y. State office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) to manage its $50+ billion statewide Medicaid program – by far the largest in the U.S.
• 2011 – The Salient solution is recognized as a crucial tool for all organizations using Medicaid data within NY State’s Department of Health
• 2012 – N.Y. State Office of Mental Health and N.Y. State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities implement the Salient solution.
